Statistics suggest that 85% of couples will achieve a pregnancy within the first twelve months of trying. This is very reassuring. However one in six or seven couples may have difficulty in achieving a pregnancy. This may be due to an egg, tubal or sperm problem, or a combination of these factors. In addition there may be problems related to intercourse.
